Wonderful place to stay
The Long Barn is beautifully presented, fabulously equipped, and a wonderfully comfortable place to stay.
The bedrooms are all ensuite, the lounge and dining room really spacious and the outside area is perfect. All made it easy to gather together but still have privacy when needed.
Ian & Jackie have thought of absolutely everything you might need to enjoy your stay, from 2 dishwashers to deal with the number of guests, to fluffy towels and bath robes. Communication was always prompt, the welcome pack was a real treat, and nothing was too much trouble for them.
There’s lots of information about the local area and much more provided. Lots to do for all age groups.
We had a fantastic family weekend in a beautiful part of the world and hope to be back soon!
Third Visit
It is a fabulous place. Ian and Jackie have thought of everything that you could want at the property and leave such thoughtful gifts, like the home made jams and marmalade, granola and lemon drizzle cake. The location is perfect for walking in the North York Moors. This is our third time there in the last 13 months and each trip has been wonderful. Highly recommended.
Family holiday. Loved this house and the location. Well worth a visit
Fabulous house, well equipped for large gatherings. Nice touches from the owners. We just had a family holiday with 10 adults and 5 young kids and the house was great. Great location for lots of interesting places to explore. Definitely recommend and will return.

Amazing stay
This was our second visit to the long barn and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Just as good as our first visit, the little touches like the welcome pack are a lovely bonus and the parting goodies, finish the stay off nicely. All rooms are very tastefully done and beds so comfortable. The new sofas in the lounge were so comfy even in keeping. The kitchen is packed with every detail you could imagine that you’ll ever need and the 2 dishwashers make cleaning up after a big family meal such ease. The huge BBQ is great for outdoor dining and the games room great for keeping everyone occupied and having some downtime or something to do on a rainy day. Everyone was so accommodating when we arrived early and let us stock the fridge, before we headed round to the local Moors Inn, which I’d highly recommend, whilst we waited for check in time (Ian and Jackie even informed the pub that they were ready to accommodate us). Will definitely return, a totally fabulous place.
