Fabulous property for family reunion
We recently spent a week at this fabulous property. It is in a very peaceful location in a lovely village but near enough local towns of Pickering and Helmsley. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and available for any questions, but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our stay. Excellent downloadable guide which gave lots of very helpful information about the property including a video tour, local area and things to do etc. The local pub, only a short walk, was very welcoming and good food. The accommodation is very spacious, extremely comfortable, well equipped and maintained. Highly recommended.
A wonderful weekend!
Spent a wonderful weekend celebrating my sister’s hen do at the Long Barn! While we were spoilt with the weather, we felt even more spoilt by the attention to detail from Jackie and Ian. It is a house perfectly set up for big parties and we felt very comfortable there. All the guests kept saying how well they slept in the peace and quiet of Appleton-le-Moors and in their gorgeous rooms!
Thank you ever so much Jackie and Ian for making such a memorable weekend that much more special.
4th visit, superb yet again.
Just stayed at the Long Barn for a fourth time, each time has been with a different group of friends/family. The initial reaction of people visiting for the first time is always one of amazement. (As was mine). You only have to read the reviews to see how people think of the place and also the hosts, Ian & Jackie…..visit and find out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to number five!
Great place for a family get together
Our grandparents lived nearby in the 1950s and the Long Barn was perfect for our occasional walking holiday of several cousins. The accommodation and spacious outdoor area and general attention to detail couldn’t be faulted
Birthday celebration
Fabulous venue for a birthday celebration. This is the 3rd time our family have stayed here and will not be the last. The games room was a big success. The attention to detail is spot on and the welcome hamper was delicious. The village and surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful and birdlife abundant. Would highly recommend!!
