We have recently blogged about guest FAQ before they book andΒ also about the FAQ many ask after theyβve stayed with us.
A recent query from a guest visiting us for the first time reminded us that some guests ask questions about the individual bedrooms. So we thought weβd answer a few of these in this weeks blog.
1. Do you have a floor plan of the Long Barn showing the bedrooms?
Yes we do β check out our web site. Youβll also find a video showing all 7 bedrooms. The Long Barn has 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and five on the first floor.
2. Are some of the bedrooms smaller than others?
Weβre delighted to say a big fat NO. Itβs one of the things that we wanted to make sure when renovating; that no guests got the βshort strawβ.
3. Do all bedrooms have an ensuite?
Yes. We think this is one of the unique things about the Long Barn. Lots of self-catering cottages sleep 14, but usually with at least a couple of bedrooms sharing one bathroom. Everyone has their very own at the Long Barn. So no sharing which means no queues.
4. Are there any bedrooms more suitable for guests with limited mobility?
We have two bedrooms on the ground floor (Bedrooms 1 & 2) Bedroom 1 tends to be the favourite one for guests with limited mobility. It is all on one level with no steps and has a walk in shower. You can find our accessibility statement here.
5. Which bedrooms have baths?
Bedroom 2, 4 and 6 have a shower over bath. All the rest have walk in showers. All have plenty of Bath House toiletries; hand soap, hair and body soap and bath soak in those with a bath.
6. Will there be enough hot water work?
Yes – due to the system fed by our biomass boiler, there is constant hot water and a constant good shower pressure. So there is no worry of being the last in and showering in a cold shower as all the hot water has gone.
7. Do you have a hair drier I can use?
All the bedrooms have their own hair drier, along with a dressing table (which has a nearby plug for the dryer)
8. Which bedrooms have single beds?
Three bedrooms have super king beds which can be split: Bedroom 1 (ground floor) Bedrooms 4 (first floor) and Bedroom 5 (first floor)
9. Are any bedrooms better for a quiet night sleep?
We think that all are great for a good nights sleep; in fact many guests say how well theyβve slept at the Long Barn (and where can they get the mattresses and bedding from)
But if you want some separation from the night owls and the larks, we suggest that you designate a quiet end of the barn. Weβd suggest keeping the end closest to the West Barn as the quiet area; so bedrooms 1. 3 and 4 are for the people wanting a quiet night. That leaves bedroom 2 (just off the living room on the ground floor) and bedrooms 5, 6 and 7 for the party animals.
10. What about babies?
We can provide up to 3 travel cots for little ones. All you need to bring are matresses and bedding. We also can provide up to 3 high chairs. Just let us know when you book and will pop everything in the barn for your arrival.Β
