Weddings at the Long Barn: Celebrations Just Got Bigger

New for 2026

For the last 10 years, the Long Barn has been a place where families and friends gather to celebrate life’s biggest moments. From milestone birthdays, reunions, to unforgettable weekends away in the heart of the North York Moors. And we’ve loved welcoming you all.

Today, we’re delighted to share the next chapter in our story: from 2026, the Long Barn will be fully licensed to host weddings.

Many of our guests have asked for this, and we are so excited to make it a reality.

When we got married 26 years ago, there wasn’t the choice that there is now for weddings. We married at Harrogate Registry Office and went for lunch with our closest family and friends. The option of a small, intimate wedding somewhere like the Long Barn simply didn’t exist for us. Which makes this announcement feel all the more special.

Just 10 Weddings a Year

From 2026 onwards, couples will be able to say their vows right here at the Long Barn. We think it’s the perfect place for an intimate, relaxed and personal wedding, surrounded by your favourite people. To preserve the tranquillity and luxury our guests know and love — and to give each couple the care they deserve — we will be hosting no more than ten weddings per year. This keeps every celebration personal, special, and truly unforgettable.

For Staying Guests Only — A Full 3–4 Day Celebration

Only guests staying on-site can book weddings at the Long Barn, and we do not offer ceremony-only options. Instead, every couple can enjoy the whole property for 3–4 days of exclusive use, creating space for slow, joyful celebrations that unfold naturally.

You’ll be free to choose between:
• A midweek wedding (perfect for a quieter, more relaxed pace)
• A weekend wedding (ideal for gathering loved ones from further afield)

With room for 14 guests across seven ensuite bedrooms, the Long Barn gives couples the opportunity to enjoy a complete wedding experience. You can plan pre-wedding dinners to the ceremony and post-wedding unwinding — all in one luxurious space.

The wedding ceremony will take place in the West Barn, with the space set up to be dressed exactly as each couple wishes.

While we won’t be offering a wedding planning service, couples will have full access to our established network of trusted local suppliers. We can recommend caterers, florists, photographers, stylists and more, all of whom are already loved by guests celebrating at the Long Barn.

We will connect you with the right local suppliers, helping them shape a perfect day without the pressure or cost of a formal planning package

We are currently working on a small collection of straightforward wedding package options to support your stay. These packages are designed to complement your 3–4 day exclusive-use booking and offer flexibility so you can tailor the experience to your style.
