Nestled in the beautiful medieval village of Appleton le Moors, surrounded by beautiful countryside in every direction.
The locals are friendly, including the sheep that roam freely through the village.
“Don’t look anywhere else! Fabulous accommodation, hosts, special touches, village, locals.. just everything about this place is special. Best place any of us have been.”
Family holiday. Loved this house and the location. Well worth a visit
Fabulous house, well equipped for large gatherings. Nice touches from the owners. We just had a family holiday with 10 adults and 5 young kids and the house was great. Great location for lots of interesting places to explore. Definitely recommend and will return.

Amazing stay
This was our second visit to the long barn and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Just as good as our first visit, the little touches like the welcome pack are a lovely bonus and the parting goodies, finish the stay off nicely. All rooms are very tastefully done and beds so comfortable. The new sofas in the lounge were so comfy even in keeping. The kitchen is packed with every detail you could imagine that you’ll ever need and the 2 dishwashers make cleaning up after a big family meal such ease. The huge BBQ is great for outdoor dining and the games room great for keeping everyone occupied and having some downtime or something to do on a rainy day. Everyone was so accommodating when we arrived early and let us stock the fridge, before we headed round to the local Moors Inn, which I’d highly recommend, whilst we waited for check in time (Ian and Jackie even informed the pub that they were ready to accommodate us). Will definitely return, a totally fabulous place.
